Hey everyone,
I have kinda an odd request. I've been thinking over the past couple of months how much I'd like to have the windows 95 startup sound (the buhwong...ding...ding...ding kinda one) on my win xp. Unfortunately though, I don't have a win 95 disk or computer anymore, and I can't find that sound anywhere on the internet. If anyone has a win 95 disk or computer anymore with that sound easily available, I'd love it if they could email it to me.
Many thanks in advance.

Similarly, years ago I wanted to find somebody with Windows 3.x for me to install on a machine that I wanted to setup as a legacy device. Well, I got a diskette copy of Win 3.x from a friend, so I've got it now.
All whopping 30 MB of it, or however big it is. Anyone want original solitaire?

Actually, the original solitaire would be pretty cool. Would it run on a WinXP?

I have an old floppy disk coppy of Win95 lying around somewhere... I felt sorry for the support staff when one day I rang them for help and they told me to re-install the software whilst on the line, and then I told them "I'm just putting floppy #1 in now"... 1.5 hours later I knew what his kid's aspirations were and what he had for breakfast 7 days ago.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't Solitaire and Minesweeper remained unchanged/untouched since Win3.1?

The general way the games function has not changed but the graphical interface has gone through a couple of improvements since the original Win 3.0 versions.

And they don't have the spooky castle deck of cards, with the little flapping batwings anymore, that was my favorite!!

Yes, it's official, I'm pathetic.

Jen? Pathetic? No, no, no, no, NO! Quite the opposite, my dear. In fact, I'm willing to bet there are a few members (myself included???) here that have some peculiar traits, characteristics, quirks and vissicitudes far more perverse that 'flapping batwings'.

And just when I was about to complain about my personal apple cart too ... dang. My apples are getting a little too ripe. And who took all the red ones and left me with the sour green ones. I have been robbed!

Yeah, the changes have been few and far between. After I got the software the tower I was going to use got stranded in my parents house, and I've never had the opportunity to get it down here, so the two parts of the system remain tragically separated. When I get to do it, I'll be sure to let y'all know.
And I took your red apples--I hate green ones, and wanted all the red ones for myself.

Hehehe you guys are funny.
As for shocking personal traits, you need not feel ashamed or pathetic. Just remember, no matter how rediculous you are, there are million other people who are probably laughing at you.
j/k!
Ah I crack me up.
