Take care of yourself there....
Breakups suck, that's for sure. Gotta think that everything happens for a reason. Even when we've got NO CLUE as to why.
Ack... I feel for you.
Sober up and have a chuckle later, cause yep, you had a hard time finding those keys.
welcome to the "pulling a cub" club.
If you need anything, let us know, ok?
Seriously.

Welcome to the club indeed...
Sorry about your girl, but by the sounds of it you sounds like you are going to pull through just fine.
Take care now, and and remember to drink plenty of water.

Ditto from TOG.
And yes, everything happens for a reason. However, it may be some time before that reason becomes clear. In fact, it may be some time before your HEAD becomes clear!

Oh my - I really did pull a "Cub" ...
Well, I guess one can do anything when he or she is drunk. But other than that it was a heck of a party we had last night. A great gourmet meal with 5 different dishes and various wines for each dish. Afterwards there was coffee and cake for those who wanted it whilst the music started to play a bit louder. And there I was along with a few of the younger co-workers drinking beer and having a blast playing the guitar, singing and joking. Man, it was fun. Too bad I didn't really have anyone to share the fun with other than the before mentioned co-workers. *sigh* I need to get out more - problem is money though.
Anyway ... I really appreciate the support from you guys. I didn't mean to place the bomb of me dumping my girlfriend in the same thread as my drunken experience but it did happen so not much to do about that.
Jen: You're a doll ... always there for all of us, and I sure appreciate you being there for me as well even though I'm not always that active on these boards.
Cub: Thanks man! I'm happy to be a full member of your club

Yeah, I'm doing alright. No need to worry about me - I'll be just fine! It was my own decision to let her go even though we had been together for almost 3 years, but I was just getting tired of it all + I couldn't really see a future with her, so why bother then?
Michel: Thank you for the coffee. Generous of you even though I'm not really a coffee drinker, but it's the thought that counts and I'm greatful for that
JTOG: Hehe ... you crack me up sometimes. Thank you for making my day and days to come look a lot brighter

Yes, welcome to the club man! I'm the president of the fan club. From now on, all "pulling a cub"'s will have to be run by me for prior authorization. And then I'll have to call Cub, confirm authorization, and then he'll give the okay, and we'll label it an official "cub pulling" ...
But on the real, I'm glad you had a good time, and I feel kind of bad that you left your girl. But you know, all the same, I know the feeling, and to me, although I do not know what kind of relationship you carried, it could be looked at as new horizons opening. I've been trying to find the good in everything in my life lately, instead of focusing on the negatives. So now, you're starting over, with a big smile, and nothing holding you back from hitting on the 23 ladies sitting at the bar this evening. You know you could ask 25 women out, and if only one says yes, you're winning! I know this!
Good luck to you man.

Hm, sorry to be ignorant, but English isn't my mother language.
Does the phrase "Pulling a Cub" have a second meaning besides the obvious one in this special message board?

As far as I know, being a native English speaker, "pulling a Cub" is UTMMB-specific.
Maybe we should setup some kind of raffle to find out whose turn it is next to pull a Cub?
At least it wasn't Windex...(old old old reference).

Yeah - it's kinda hard work, but it's manageable.
The hardest part when in that state is actually being able to hit the correct keys + to write a somewhat serious thread as it can easily become a ridiculous thread with intentional spelling errors, not that important information and such ...... uummm ...... did I just expose myself here?

You know I tend to be the opposite when I drink. I take my time and like have to spell everything just right. It's weird.

Ah, that makes sense. According to phpbb, it took Malloy 4 hours and 32 minutes to write that last post.
Sure enough, no spelling errors!
