James Kim

I don't want to get off on a tangent, but I thought this might be an appropriate forum to mention the tragic death of James Kim, a CNET editor who died while searching for help to save his family, with whom he became stranded in the snow in the forest in Oregon. His family was rescued, but sadly James had set out on foot to find help two days before. His body was found yesterday. He leaves behind his wife and two young children.

I don't know if anyone here was familiar with his work at CNET, but it was interesting and entertaining. I just thought it would be appropriate to take a moment to remember him, even if we didn't know him.
I hadnt hear what happened. Very sad indeed :(

I'm sorry to hear that... That's a tragic story... Painful to hear they could of all been saved but they had no way of knowing of course... He was obviously a very brave person and dedicated/loving towards his family to of gone out into the wilderness like that for them. Best wishes to his family...

I tend to frequent videogames.com alot, which is a sister site to C-Net, and in their news a while back they had posted something like "C Net employee missing" ...

It's a real shame it turned out the way it did. I must say though, he's a real brave man to attempt to go and find help for his family the way he did.
I'm not fat ... I'm festively plump.
Very sad indeed. Giving one's life for their family or friends is the ultimate human sacrafice. Kudos to James and sympathies to his family.
