Funny you should mention that. Every year I make an insane birthday cake for somebody, and each year it has to be crazier than the last. This year, on top of everything else I did (multiple layers, various fruit fillings) I put Cadbury Caramel eggs inside.
You see, I thought they would melt and that the caramel, now liquified, would get absorbed into the cake. Not so. In fact, they didn't melt at all, really, and I was left with a cake that had 5 pockets of gooey caramel inside it. Granted, this was still good, just not what I'd hoped for.
