A decade already?
Well I've only been around a year or so myself, but it sure feels like a decade. In a good way! God, news has been slow, but we've seemed to be able to make up for it with little games, funny side projects, and all kinds of other things. I, myself, am almost to the point of hysteria waiting to see Cub's masterpiece, and I'm having a good ole time trying to read Jim's Overseer masterpiece (which I must admit, is a looooong read
, but I'm getting through it, and it's great. I love how it reminds me so much of the game. It's obvious a lot of love and care went into it.), not to mention Jen's writings, and rockefella's 3d bit, freepizza's stuff, I mean holy moses. Everyone around here has a talent, except me! And I totally enjoy every minute of it.
I know it's been said before, but I seriously mean this ... if a new Tex Murphy project was to be put into works, I'm almost positive that every single regular member of this board could add something that would benefit the project as a whole. Not that it would happen, but I truly could see everybody's name in the credits.
Love you guys! No, I'm not drinking. This isn't one of those mushy "drunk as a fiiiish" posts. I just truly love you guys. And girls.
Peace.
BEEFCAKE!

I'm not fat ... I'm festively plump.
Yep.. almost 10 years for me being a part of this community. My first post was on the TexMurphy.com message board in March of 1997, and I have been a participant in the Tex Murphy community since then.
It's scary to think about really, but the first time I visisted my high school had only one computer with a dial up internet connection... it was one of the first times I ever used the internet. So basically Tex Murphy has been there since the beginning of my cyberspace journey.
What's even scarier... I remember hearing about the Pandora's release on a radio program here in Sydney (they were reviewing it) back in 1996. And similar to what we did with UAKM, we bought the game before we even had a computer fast enough to run it (UAKM was bought before our first computer was!).
Yikes is all I can say... are we really that old... nobody knows (perhaps Jim does, he's kinda seen me grow up here). It is a shame a lot of the old members have since dissapeared, however, our new memebers still keep it the warm place it always was.

I don't recall exactly when it was that I started frequenting this establishment, like a bourbon-weary patron without any cigarettes.
But I do believe I am going on at least four years or so.
If anyone knows when I joined, please let me know, it'd be interesting to know for future reference

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
That is very interesting! I've been hanging around the Tex community for every bit of that and then some. I remember logging into AOL and hooking up with a guy named Mike. He was very helpful in solving Tex related questions while I was playing UAKM. That goes back to 1994! But nothing compares to the brotherhood we now have. Great to be here with all of you! As TM would say: "I love you guys...and girls!"
"If you look to me for illumination, you better have a flashlight!"
