Jen, its was a European. We don't get this in U.S which you probably know why like many other music video but that's okay if it low class music video in your own way. Did you know Prime Minister Tony Blair mention this music video.
it was on every U.S/Europe music tv station from MTV to Europe music stations. Even on Youtube a lot of ppl does it on their own.
Even a real life U.S Navys with a lone woman (Beat the Army) (b/f or husband in music video) on YouTube did the same in their work out with the music song in background and many others from older people to teens/young adults copycat the Music Video dance moves work out from video of low class you perferred since everyone is doing to have fun working out and following the music all over the world.
This music video is popular all over the world. It's has a 80s theme like.
DrPaul-Your new Clock Alarm. lol

Uh, that was interesting (I don't swear in public). After watching a few seconds I turned it off. It's a bit much for TOG (and his wife too!). Makes me glad I don't watch music videos as I feel they have gone far beyond their original purpose. However, there may be those who enjoy such forms of entertainment and I have no objection to what other members of this board feel or like or dislike. To each his own.

I liked it. Of course, you know, it's me. I'm so non politically correct, and out there, my friends are sometimes taken aback by my everyday conversations. I don't hold nothing back(double negative), and will talk about anything. (and I do mean ... anything.) But, to each their own, as it was said. It really boils down to what you are offended by. It goes with how you were brought up, and such, and how you lived out your life. Some people are offended by horror movies. Some people are offended by harsh language. Some people are offended by someone else eating meat. The list goes on. Some people are offended by sexual innuendo, and lewd acts. Me, myself, the one thing that I absolutely cannot stand is watching a video where someone breaks their leg, gets into a car accident, or something like that. It's too disgusting to me, and I will go bonkers in telling you just how much I dislike it.
But with that being said, it's my opinion that the british people, and europe as a whole, are a lot more relaxed with sexuality, where in america, movies that have explicit violent murder scenes are rated PG13, and movies with two people making love are rated R. I think america is too uptight about something that is completely natural, and is done when it comes to every species. And yet when depicting acts that would get you sent to prison, or to your death, hey, the kids can watch that instead? Nah, the standards are weird here.
Which is why we probably don't get it here. Because we'd get the same kind of reactions from the general public. Mixed.
Now I may be wrong. I don't live in Europe, but it would be intresting to hear just how things are percieved over there from some of you fine people who actually reside in Europe. Anybody wanna help me with this?
However, again, with all THAT being said, let me just also say ... I don't think this is the proper forum for that kind of exhibition, however. But I'm not your daddy either. I'm just a man with an opinion.

I'm not fat ... I'm festively plump.
Well I wasn't offended, I just thought it was overkill and cliche. I think the song itself is OK. I suppose if a song is about sexual attraction then stuff like that has its place. Perhaps there are other ways to represent such things without it being construed as superfiical though? If it got them publicity for being 'controversial' though then fair enough.
I don't think it's anything specific to England or Europe either. There's plenty of sexually charged music videos from America and most of the film industry will use such 'body language'.
Also you can't really tell what age would be watching this, as I don't know what kind of times it was shown on UK TV, perhaps it was only shown afetr the 'watershed' when most kids are suppose to be asleep? I wouldn't know. I think there's plenty of censoring that goes on in Britain, for example the Robbie Williams video where he's stripping literally down to his bones with all his guts showing etc. was censored and only shown uncut late at night when it was first released if I remember right.
As for original music videos, check out the work of Michel Gondry or Tim Hope's work
And Jim Noir's videos are pretty wacky. Here's a few:

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about this video.
Years ago, my wife used to go to Elaine Powers a few times
a week. Elaine Powers was an aerobics/exercise center for
women. My wife told me that, occasionally, members would
bring their husbunds as guest participants. My wife asked
if I would like to come.
I was in pretty good shape back then. I was an avid
bicyclist (about 400 miles a week), lifted weights, and did
various other exercises. So I jumped at the opportunity.
It was just like the video. All women (except for me). The
women all wore small, form-fitting spandex suits (I wore my
bicycling shorts and jersey). They listened to music and
jumped around and did most of the exercises you see in the
video. I recall that the one where they get on hands and
knees and lift a knee to the side, they referred to as
'hydrants' (named for a dog peeing on a fire hydrant).
I'll tell ya, it was hard to keep up with those girls and it was
NOT a sexual experience. Instead, I came away with a new
respect for them.
If someone choses to interpret these exercises as sexual
(which I'm sure was the intention of the video) and then be
offended, that's your choice. But I can assure you that
what you saw were examples of legitimate women's
exercise. The only difference was that these girls (in the
video) were all beautiful, and in full makup. In my case, only
my wife was beautiful. Is it a crime to be beautiful?
And what's wrong with sex anyway? If not for sex, none of
us would exist.
I thoughly enjoyed the video and it brought back old
memories for me.
