Does anyone know all (or at least a few) of the PI rules in Tex's little red book? We should use this thread to gather up all the ones we know and organize them ~ I'm pretty sure there are 37 all together ~ I haven't found any collection like this before, so I think it would be cool ~ I'll Make the first contribution:

PI RULE # 1 : NEVER FALL FOR A CLIENT / NEVER BETRAY YOUR FRIENDS ~ (GAME / BOOK)
PI RULE # 2 : HIDE FROME PEOPLE CARRYING GUNS
PI RULE # 4 : DON'T GET CAUGHT
PI RULE # 17: NEVER UPSET A CLIENT
PI RULE # 24: DON"T TAKE RIDES FROM STRANGERS

Any other's anyone can think of?

This could take a while, If i remember right he has around 100-200 rules :D
(i'm guessing you'll have to keep dying in Pandora Directive to find all of them out - because they are all in the death scenes.)

- one of them is "avoid fire balls"

Nah....I just finished playing Overseer last night. Had the old computer out, a day off that was frigid cold and miserable, so what the hell, booted up Tex. Rockefeller's right. It was 37 rules of a PI.

Sylvia and Tex had a conversation about the rules. mentioned something like 36 out of 37 isn't bad.
Also, kudos for Chris Jones is this episode, his acting was superb.

Yeah you can get some off the death sequences.

Actually it's 20 P.I. rules, and Tex states he's come up with 17 of his own.

I can't remember the quote at the moment... Something about "20 tried and true P.I. euphemisms, with plenty of blank space to add in your own."

Or something in that regard :D

ps: it always struck me as strange that rule #24 in the book was typed and not hand-written, seeing as how it's the 4th rule Tex came up with... Which either means in the future we can type text into books, OR, someone at Access slipped ;)

I haven't looked through the games to confirm this yet; but I'm assuming the rules mentioned in Overseer in Harley's book are the same ones that are also sprinkled throughout UAKM? Also, can't remember currently if there are PI rules mentioned in Pandora.

There are 37 rules... if you watch the Overseer trailer again you will hear him say it:

Sylvia: "So? Break a rule... How many rules are there"
Tex: "Thirty Seven"

P.I. Rules? 37 Rules! How much!

Want to know Russian Rule #1? Big Jim Slade violated it and he was captured.

Alright, Russian Rule #1:If you pulled out the gun, SHOOT! Or forget about gun. But DON'T wave it like feather duster!

Any questions?

Hey guys, prepare to get your World Rocked.

Quoted from the Big PI in the sky.

"Apparently you forgot rule number 82, Don't get too close to a laser net security system!"

Hurdrax's most excellent Tex's 9 lives video spilled the beans. (or canon) Guess The old PI in the Sky didn't let Harvey know them all for his little book!

Here's the linky!

And the overseer trailer, Cub you rock, you still have it LOL!

If I remember correctly, Tex's full statement in Overseer goes a bit farther than what is included in the trailer...
Sylvia: "So? Break a rule... How many rules are there"
Tex: "Thirty Seven...so far."
So, by the time the Big P.I. gets involved in Under a Killing Moon, Tex has apparently come up with at least 45 more rules of his own! :)

And #82 was probably in the Martian Memorandum case as a result of breaking into Big Dick Castro's safe. By UAKM, Tex could easily have over 100, and knowing him, some of them are repeats.
