Tex Murphy Play through.
I dunno, I've been wanting one of those flash dealies too, but I didn't want to trouble the doc into making one. That's why I asked for the instructions.
We can start whenever you guys are ready, but I know that some need to get them up and running first.

So do you want to put a deadline {ex. Feb. 15th} on how long people have to get the games up and running or do you just want to wait and see where everyone is in a couple of weeks???

It's been a little while... I figured I'd revive the thread in case some people don't look too far down the thread list...
Are we about ready to get this Marathon thing started??? Or do we want to give some more people a chance to get involved???
Doc says it's possible to just copy Flash Drives {pieces at a time}, the only thing that would need to be changed would be the Drive Letter that your computer sees when you plug your Flash Drive in, so I can make Flash Drives for people if DrPaul is too busy, with teaching 2 classes I'm sure his time is limited... So if anyone would like me to help with the Flash Drive thing, I'd be willing to do so... An 8GB Flash Drive is about 20 bucks in most areas...
Just hit me with a PM if you're interested... All Credit goes to the Doc for the process... I'm just a tool if you choose to have me do this...

That's the beauty of the Flash Drives that DrPaul makes, I've played all 4 of the games without any problems so far...freepizza wrote:Yeah, thanks baf, I had almost forgotten about this. I haven't had enough time recently to get the games working myself. Lets give it a bit more time.
He does recommend, and I since I'd be copying his work I would have to follow his belief on this, that you can only put whatever games you own on the Flash Drive... So if you only own UAKM and Pandora, I won't put Mean Streets or Martian Memorandum on there... He hasn't figured out how to do Overseer yet, but that is probably because it was a Windows Based game and Not Dos, so obviously it won't work in Dosbox...
Most of the games, especially UAKM, Pandora, and Overseer can be easily found on ebay and amazon... Usually for decent prices, but sometimes you get your morons who think because the Jewel Case doesn't have a scratch makes it a Collector's Piece and wants to charge more than a Wii or PS3 game cost...
As for MS and MM, those can usually be found on a CD called Private Eye Mysteries, if you are unable to find the old Floppy style...
