New Tex Murphy News!

As for the news itself, I'll play along for a minute. Wasn't Telltale involved at some point with the Tex rights? I know their name was brought up, but I don't remember the circumstances. I got in touch with them at the time for news regarding Tex. It goes back a little while though, way before they released the Sam & Max episode. The company was just starting. Someone recalls what I'm talking about?
I don't think Telltale has been part of the Tex saga so far. Are you maybe thinking of Take Two?
Whoever made this topic has my gratitude for making James post more than he has ever posted in one topic. My guess is that it is James. You gave yourself away!

Telltale will either start to produce a Garfield episodic series, a Tex Murphy series, or both!
Honestly, who the hell in their right mind would try a Garfield game after those shockingly bad films that starred Bill Murray..

No way in hell.

Yeah I know of Take Two and their involvement. The more I think about it, the less I recall why Telltale was brought up here. It's definitely not about the rights, now that you mention it. Something else, though. One of the chats, mayhap? I can't think why else I would have heard about them when their company just started, and contacted them regarding Tex.

Sorry to bump a thread of probably fake news, but I have to lend a little credence to the whole thing.

I couldn't pry anything concrete out of them but I had a meeting with Telltale recently and I will say that Big Finish Games is very much on their radar. They knew all about not just the Tex games but Aaron and Chris, Three Cards to Midnight and all of that. Doesn't mean anything's in the pipe, but I'd be surprised if there weren't talks.
