I personally think most comedians can be offensive if you read too much into it.
George Carlin is a comedic genius, yet some of his routines would definitely offend people.
I mean, he has a routine called rape is funny.
The title would be enough to offend people... but the way he does it... he makes it funny.
Again... if you don't take what he is saying seriously.
Same thing with horror movies... I could watch the most disgustingly gory movie, and I may find it a bit gross. Show me the exact same real life situation on a video.... and I would probably be disturbed for a lifetime.
I think a lot of people have a hard time distinguishing between real life and entertainment.
You can't view both things the same way, cause if you did, it would be impossible for anyone to enjoy themselves or laugh at anything.
Life is too short to be worry about things like that.

Sad to say George Carlin was a comedy genius... He passed as a victim of the harsh year of 2008.
Also probably a victim of the drugs he'd been on throughout his life, but, still, hell. If drugs is a component in rock'n roll and great comedy routines, then heaven is a place where Bill Hicks is opening for Hendrix.
That's a reference, by the way. Although you need to be a comic buff to get it.
