Give it a listen

I have to admit I've not. I'll have to look it up.

Speaking of that good old-timey music, here's the Statler Brothers:

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
That's not quite old-timey enough Fred. Now this is classic country gold. Mr. Hank Williams. The original.

Fred, you are right. I just watched a couple of her videos. She is not a nice girl. Guys should definitely run for the hills around her.

Statler Brothers? Hank Williams? Oh yeah, baby! Great old time country stars. I've also DL some youtube videos from people like Roy Acuff and Hank Snow.

Nightwish, an opera metal band. (For anyone that likes the style of music in The Phantom of the Opera, give this a go.

You have probably heard of them already Fred.

Nice. They kind of remind me of Dream Theater. :)
I gots a webcomic! http://yetanothercomic.com
Their coming out with a new album soon.
I'll let you know when that happens.

Yeah, Nightwish have always been kind of popular in Scandinavia. I liked their early stuff, then they just sort of drifted off into the woods.

I always wished Black Debbath would make some proper music instead of the silly crap they're always up to. They make some insanely good music, but the lyrics are all completely parodic and silly. Not to mention norwegian. And yes, the band name is also a parody, a combination of Black Sabbath and Debate.

I admit I also thoroughly enjoy norwegian band Seigmenn, whose music I've posted on these boards before.

However, today I bring you this lil' gem:

Social Distortion - Don't Drag Me Down

Which also happens to be, ladies and gents - my favorite song. So far in my life, anyway

Yes, yes, yes... still one of the coolest bands out there. Don't Drag Me Down is quite a gem indeed, actually the whole White Light, White Heat, White Trash record is a gem. The follow-up to the Sex, Love & Rock n' Roll record is in the making right now and supposed to be released later this year, looking forward to it a lot! :)

Here is my gem of the day: The longtime friends of Social Distorton ... The Adolescents playing "Kids of the Black Hole" ( in fact, Frank and Rikk Agnew of the Adolescents used to be in the very first line-up of Social Distortion before they left to found the Adolescents): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMDEJOoF ... re=related
