I just came across this article - looks like they're currently working on a real-life warp drive. Not sure I'll hold my breath for this one, but it's fun to imagine nonetheless,

Oh yes, I heard about this warp drive a while back. Seems like Star Trek was entertainment AND inspiration.

I want my own holodeck though. Can you IMAGINE the possibilities with one of those.

I thought about saying Holodeck, but then I thought how the only thing it really changes are your surroundings. All personal changes have to be done outside the Holodeck. That's why I went with the immersive virtual gaming world.

Reminds me of that movie Galaxy Quest where the aliens actually build all the technology depicted in said tv-show...and yes, I liked it, even if it was Tim Allen :p
