Yes, best film I've seen in years. Although if you don't see it at the theatre, you are missing out. Just make sure you crank the sound.

So sound Quality in the DVD is poor??? Is that the only drawback??? I have surround sound, so I'm not worried about having to turn it up a little... I've got about half a dozen speakers laid out through my living room, all hidden, so if you were to come over you wouldn't see them, but you'd feel like the movie was happening all around you... Let me tell you, the movie Twister, scares the hell out of some people... My father loved it, but my mother couldn't stay in the room, she kept thinking she was going to be "Whisked Away" as she put it...

No, the sound on the DVD is not poor. In fact the sound is so well done in that film that you are missing out on 90% of the experience by not seeing it at the movies.

Actually I've been complimented that my living room is a little like going to the Movies...

Either way, I meant to go out and see it, but I don't think that it is in the Theaters anymore... At least around here it's no longer in theaters...

Reasons why Alien Versus Predator 2 is better than one...

The first one was PG-13, the second one was rated R. Actually, that reason is good enough. Why? Because when I think of Alien or Predator, I think of people dying violently to alien bad ass. And PG-13 just doesn't convey the violence like rated R can.

But for shits and giggles, I'll toss one more reason why numero dos was cool, and numero uno sucked. None of the predators in part two were pussies. The first one, the predators show up and get their ass beat.

Okay, there were 3 of them in part one, you couldn't expect all of them to be standing at the end... The one was a brave SOB, that's all you need... The Acting in part one was way superior than in the second... Rating means nothing anymore, at least in this country it doesn't... PG-13 contains plenty of violence, so they didn't so as much blood and guts, so what... It's suppose to be a Sci-Fi Action movie, not a Horror Gore Slinger... The reason part two got an R Rating is because of the language more so than the violence...

We can bicker about this until the internet dies... You liked Part 2, I liked Part 1... That itself should be enough...

Here's one for ya'. . . "Safety Last" starring Harold Lloyd. A silent film from 1923. Just watched the dvd. He was a comic genius. His timing was impeccable. He was a master physical comedian (after all, these were silent films), and his films are still funny after these many years. "Safety Last" is considered his masterpiece. It's hilarious! For a real change of pace, I highly recommend renting it. If you view it while considering the technology of the times, I think you will find it (as Darth Vader would say) "most impressive." It would be especially effective in a party atmosphere.

Anyone like Comedies??? Of course you do, who doesn't... So I'll just say, Just About Any John Candy Film, rest in peace... That man was awesome... I can't think of a movie he was in that I didn't like...

Speaking of Comedies, I watched the Original Caddyshack last night... Now that's a Classic...

Sounds like a plan! There were four of them in part one, three of them were pussies. The second one had heads exploding and aliens popping out of pregnant women. And I'd say the acting was just as bad in both movies.

There were only 3 Predators that went into the Pyramid... 2 of them were killed rather early then the bad ass fought to the end and was killed by the Queen, but not before he was infected with an Alien...

Where do you get there were 4 of them???

I was being Sarcastic about bickering about this until the internet dies... I have my opinion and you have yours, we aren't going to change the other's mind...lol... Everyone offline that I've talked to about these 2 movies agree with me that the first one was much better... The acting was way better as was the quality of the film, because with the 2nd movie, you need to have every light source in the room off in order to be able to see what is occurring on screen...

Turning all the lights off to watch a movie is the best way to watch it! You can't get the full theater experience, but you can at least get a little closer.

I agree Vracar. We saw I Am Legend at the movies and we were glad we did. Now that we have just purchased the DVD, we WILL watch it at night with the lights off. We only have a 27" TV but its a small room and you still feel like you are right in the mix.

BTW, we bought a version that has an alternate ending. Will get back with you all shortly and let you know the deal.
