Witt apparently just showed up late because he gave Tex a ride home (its mentioned in one of the voiceovers). I guess Witt is just a crabby old man; he never likes to have any fun and he showed up when the party was all over.

Yeah now that you mention it I do remember Tex saying that Witt showed up to give him a left...

I do for one... I Love Details and hate unanswered questions and loose ends... I think that is my nature due to the career I've led though... Searching for answers and details is my life so I look for it in everything...

Probably one of the funniest scenes in all of the games....however, my favorite funny line from any of the cut-scenes has to be when Tex is talking to the Countess Reniere, and she offers him $30,000, and he says "Alright, I'll have to think about it (extremely short pause), alright I'll do it, in fact, I'll even mow your lawn, no charge."
