I have no doubt that they will hand the business over, but I don't think that this would occur at the very beginning of the film either... If it does happen, it would hopefully occur throughout the movie, being something like the old team taking on trainees and training them throughout the movie and giving some sort of retirement speech or something at the end of the movie...

We'll just have to wait and see...

As for Indy, yes I throughly enjoyed Crystal Skull as well... While it took some bashing because it wasn't The Last Crusade and all, I think people expected too much out of an almost 70 year old man...

But as I just looked him up on IMDB to verify his age I saw this listed under his movie credits...
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1462764/

An Indiana Jones 5... I guess they are going to hand the reigns over to Shia after all... Here is Lucas verifying it...

Harrison on the idea...

I happen to like Shia... Can't think of a movie {except for Holes}, that he has been in that I haven't enjoyed... So I'm liking the sound of this, him taking over the Indy character...

I think my biggest problem with Crystal Skull was how Lucas switched genres on me. I was looking forward to classic action/adventure and then he twists it into a sci-fi story instead. Not that I don't love sci-fi too, but I felt it was too contrived.

It's like going into a restaurant and ordering chocolate cake and they give you chocolate pudding instead. It's similar to what you ordered but not what you really wanted. That's how I felt about it.

I actually don't mind the Karate Kid remake. It doesn't look half bad. I probably won't see it in theatres, but come dvd I might take a look. Spiderman reboot is stupid though. Sam Raimi has scheduling issues? Work around 'em! He wants old school villains? That's okay! Just don't remake a movie that's barely a decade old. I have to wonder: are they going to tell the origin story again? Is it going to be another Spiderman movie in which he figures out that with great power comes great responsibility?

And I liked Crystal Skull. I wouldn't consider it a genre switch; Indy has always been over the top in the fantastic, and the science in it is mostly fluff.

I think they should just scratch the whole Spider Man bit, 3 movies was more than enough, they've milked it more than it has been worth, in my opinion...

There are too many Super Heroes out there they could be doing movies on, but they keep dumping money into sequels, Spider Man 2, 3, most likely a 4th... 2 Hulk movies... Several Batman movies... Superman Remake {in my opinion just by doing it kicked dirt on the memory of Reeves}... 3 X-Men sequels {though I have to say, I think all of the X-Men have been good movies}...

Question concerning Green Lantern, wasn't he Black??? They have Ryan Reynolds playing him in the upcoming movie... Finally at least a New Super Heroes is on the Horizon...

But there are just so many other Heroes out there to continue with all these remakes and sequels...

What they really need to do is take a Female Super Hero and actually put some money behind it and make it good... Those others that they've done, Electra, Catwoman, have all just nose dived...

Bafitis, you genius! They should make a spider-woman movie!

ooh Spider-Woman. That would be neat and hasn't been overdone.

I think originally the Green Lantern was a white guy called Hal Jordan. In the new animated series of Justice League on Cartoon Network, Green Lantern is a black guy named John Stewart.

Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner were both white. John Stewart was the only black incarnation, introduced for a short while in the 70's and revived for Justice League as Sam mentioned.

Yeah a Spider Woman could be kewl... Make her colors like Purple and Orange or something...

LMAO
I did a search, turns out someone did a Spiderbabe... Turns out it is a Soft Porn movie...

Seriously though, there are just too many Super Heroes to be milking these sequels until people start to dislike the character...

I hope this is still happening, mainly because there's very little they can do to massively screw it up.

I think it has been pushed to 2011, but no word of it having been canceled...
No word on who will be in it though, just the Director's name...

I'd be interested in seeing a New Robocop... Is it set to be a Remake or just a new one???

Good to see you Punk, it's been too long...

And if Darren Aranofsky is directing Robocop, it will surely be awesome.

Absolute classic.

I will never forget the scene where Murphy gets his hand blown off and his brains blown out.

I guess the reason this movie felt so cool as a kid was the fact that it was set in Detroit... only a half hr drive from where I grew up. =)

Well looks like they are moving ahead with the Spiderman reboot.

They've chosen Andrew Garfield to play the new Spiderman. The movie will be out next summer. Don't know if I'll want to see it without Tobey Mcguire. I don't think I've seen any of this new guy's movies.

I'll end up seeing it if it is one of the 3 movies they play at the Drive-In, otherwise I'll just wait for it to be on TV... I don't have any interest in paying to see another Spider Man movie, even if it had McGuire in it, I still wouldn't be interested in Paying to see it...
