bafitis,

I downloaded barrow hill last night, looks okay. the web site is a bit weird, after you pay with paypal you get an error screen & I thought "oh $#it" have to email them. But in fact all you do is refresh the page & then you get go sign & your download. Email also gives you the link but you have download the file straight away or it expires in 1 day. The access code in included in the readme file contained in the zip file. worked out for me $11.00au pretty good.
The adventure shop had the same title for $20.00 so thats a good saving.
I am going to download another title also.

these games seem to be written on the wintermute engine, funny I only ever heard the name wintermute from this forum.

wintermute did the first pandora hard disk version & has since disappeared, I wonder if it's the same person

I managed to download dark fall lost souls from direct drive 2 at a price of $4.95 what a bargain for a new game. I think I have them all now, I just love Jonathan Boakes stories.

Just finished Rhiannon another title by jonathan, I liked this one also. Still I think the lost crown tops them all. Maybe due to it's the only one of his games that you actually get to see the character you are playing & speak to other people instead of just the endless searching & the puzzle solving.

I think that's why selection of adventure games were so popular as it suited to a lot of people as not everyone likes a myst type game where they never see or talk to anyone.
tex, syberia, longest journey all popular games with all those elements included in their games.
conversation, puzzles, all the right elements to please everyone.

PS yes bafitis I am talking to myself again
