Heavy Rain (The spoiler thread)
No, Shelby either dies at the warehouse by impalement and long fall (Madison), falls into a grinder (Jayden), escapes and is never caught, or escapes and is subsequently shot by Lauren.
There is no ending that shows him in custody.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
Fred: Is there a way to find out in which scenes I still need to get trophies? I know I can see all my trophies, but it lacks information as for the ones I haven't got yet. I don't really have the time to restart the game and play it all the way through only to find out that I did exactly the same as my first play-through in some scenes thus missing a trophy.
Anyway - I have started to fail a few scenes to see how it all plays out in the end with 1 or 2 characters dead. Even though it's totally against my normal way of playing, I just have to try

Yeah, you can tell me which ones you lack, and I will tell you what to do. Just reply in this thread, I'll guide you through'em.

I found a list online where I can see which trophies I can get, so I've started crossing them off the list. There is one trophy though that I just tried to play through but didn't get. I actually thought I did pretty good, but it was obviously not enough.
The Kamikaze driving the wrong way trial - how did you get through that one?

I believe it has to do with the six-axis controller system. There's a point where you're NOT supposed to flick it to one side, but instead rather weave it to one side and then back. It's then the cop car tries to PIT-manouver you, I think. Anyway, don't hit the railing and don't bonk the copmobile. You'll be fine.
By some stroke of luck I got that achievement on my first playthrough. I didn't realise it was that such a hard achievement to get until checked those same lists on how to get the ending called Tears in the Rain.
Turns out my savegame was bugged, but when I finally got it, I also got the platinum one.
Anyone else seen that ending yet by the way? It's heart-wrenching!

Whooooo! Rented it and played the hell out of it for a few days. Very innovative! Yeah yeah, Dragon's Lair and etc.
How would I guess that this group would be into Heavy Rain
The first time I finished, Norman Jayden died. So I befell a kind of tragic end. My button mashing wasn't good enough. In the heat of battle, I misread some of the instructions like swing your controller up instead of pressing up and so on. Fortunately, you can replay staring at the last chapter, courtesy of the extras menu.
O.k. - some unanswered questions:
- Do you have to accept the poison?
- I think I got a lucky hunch on Ethan picking Theo Roosevelt Road, or whatever the easternmost location was from the GPS menu. Would it have made a difference if I chose wrong?
Other:
- The aspect with the Minority Report type sunglasses was VERY cool.
- I tried to use only positive ethical choices in the game.
- Wish we could've seen what happened to Ethan's ex.
- I liked the classic big brass Dragnet type music whenever we saw Scott Shelby. I wish he wouldn't have been the baddie, he was my fave.
- Oh, and I saw boobs in a video game!
Whoa ho hey!! I'm the big winner!

I believe the poison is just water, and if you pick the wrong location, than there's a different ending where Ethan doesn't show up.

There seemed to be very little indication from Ethan's clues alone where to go.
Later, the FBI detective gets to look extensively at his clues, but with Ethan, I'm not sure how I ended up choosing correctly. I'm not convinced that choosing another location wouldn't have led me to the right place...
Y'know?

Then let me explain. If you choose the wrong location on the GPS, Ethan will go to a wrong location. In any instance, it will be a restaurant. And he will collapse and give up. Exit Ethan.
At this point, Ethan does not show up at the warehouse.

I think I just got lucky. I did look for water, the big river that runs N/S, and just went with that one. I deserved it after going through all that! Here's what one walkthrough said about the clues... which STILL tells me you need some luck to select the correct location.
http://faqs.ign.com/articles/107/1078819p1.html And - there is a multiplicity of endings, mainly the outcomes to the different characters.
Ethan's Puzzle
--------------
You will be in your car without all five trials completed and must figure
out where to go, it takes at least three trials to be able to find the correct
location, otherwise Ethan is going nowhere.
In the car, check the phone for what should be a big clue, a foghorn and/or
seagulls. That narrows it down to near water. (Huh?)
Then look at your paper to bring up the GPS. Your cursor is on the map and you
can scroll through the choices. If you can pick 852 Theodore Roosevelt Road on
the east side, then you are set to go. Otherwise, Ethan will not get there by himself. You'll just have to pick one and go with it.
I seriously hope all the people waiting for this game on PC aren't reading this thread!

Don't worry about the people waiting for the game to come out on the PC, Kage. Right now Quantic Dream is focusing on making Heavy Rain compatible with Playstation Move, so they're not even working on the promised downloadable content, let alone a PC port. I doubt Heavy Rain will be anything but a PS3 exclusive title.
