Quick! Distract them while I hijack their chronomobile!
I've always wanted my own time machine, and I don't care what format it is delivered in. I'll take a TARDIS, a DeLorean, an enchanted item, access to a wormhole or a goddamn Chron-O-John! I don't care, just let me explore and find some answers!
I'd go see the pyramids being built, stop by Christ, catch Hendrix live on stage, find out how they got those rocks around at Stonehenge, scope out some dinosaurs, have a long talk with Nostradamus, and probably see Bill Hicks perform. Then be back in a second flat.

Chron-o-john? That's cool.
You picked an interesting group to see, Fred. I'm gonna start a thread with that theme.

The Chron-o-John is the time machine from Day of the Tentacle, the adventure game by Lucasarts. It's basically Dr. Fred's (I kid you not, the mad scientist is named Dr. Fred!) version of a time machine, which is an electrically powered outhouse capable of transcending the chronobarrier. Or something.
It's powered by a fake imitation diamond. Which breaks. Which causes havoc. Which is one of the things that kick off the gameplay.
Hang on I'll be back in a few hours, I just need to replay Day of the Tentacle again for the... umpteenth time.

Alright - 2 things:
1. To stay on topic ... Jim: Did you delete the posts from the "Outbox" or the "Sent messages"? Because those 2 are totally different folders. The "Outbox" is the folder in which PM's lie until they are read by the recipient. Once they are read, they are transferred to the "Sent messages" folder. Or that's at least how an ordinary E-mail program works. I suppose it would be the case here as well!
2. Damn, Fred ... reviving Day Of The Tentacle in a thread is way cool. Awesome game! To think that a fake diamond and a Chron-o-John can send a guy back 200 years in the past and another 200 years into the future, whereas the last character stays put is amazing. How LucasArts came up with the idea to make a story like that is beyond me, but it was a great game!

Ah Lucasarts. My second favorite game company after Access Software. They were once so brilliant.

Hey Netroam - I think I deleted them from the outbox and that would explain why she didn't get them. Sorry Jen!
