When it rains... it pours!
I was going to ask what happened to waiting until the end of the week, until I realised Friday has already showed up at your front porch.
I just wanted to add, while pretty much all ground has been covered, that this should not be a "less money or more money" issue, nor should it be about vile money vs happiness.
Unlike other suggestions of strict happiness, what I would to take into consideration is which of those two offers will bring you closer to the destination you've at least partially set for yourself? You know what you want out of your working life, so are any of those two preparing you, or propelling you, towards the next steps of your goals, and which one does it best?
I mean by this that while I have been climbing the profesional ladder and earning significantly more money with each new job, I realised recently I haven't been making a single step towards what I want out of job since graduation. If you take money out of the equation, I might as well have spent the last 5 or 6 years sleeping on a couch, with similar results. Of course you're young (considering we're the same age, I like to think I still am anyway!), and there is no time limit or peremtion date on when one can achieve himself, an entirely pointless step in no particular direction is still at the very least a partial waste. There is no lost experience, but when you have the opportunity to choose, you might as well limit the losses and max out the gains!

Very valid point Frank,
I think the job I am signing for offers just that.
Job A's title is: Multimedia Designer, and Presentations/Submissions co-coordinator. The role pretty much gave me complete control over all facets of multimedia for branding the company, borrowing on all of my skills that I have been offering as a freelancer. So yes, it's definitely a step in the right direction.
Job B was simply to be team leader/manager of a team of presentations developers (like I used to be)... and as the point has already been raised, this would max me out in a career path that will have seen me going nowhere.

Well there we have it.
The managerial path, nine times out of ten, takes you away from the nature of the industry you are in, to concentrate on pure managerial issues. That's the logical next step anyway, unless you suddenly decide to drop everything to start your own gig, and get back in touch with the creation part of your field.
Latteral movement, on the other hand, can give you access to more ressources of the field you are already invested in, and keeps you into the creative path.
Both options are equally valid, but being very different by nature, rarely fit you both. It's all a matter of where you want to go from here.

He has been making it {surviving} on the money he is making now for so long, so taking Job-B over Job-A because of a 10K to 20K difference shouldn't be that big of a deal to him... He has been making some money doing his Freelance work and his other job...plumgas wrote:LOL,

I'm looking for a new job as well. It turns out my current employer is not above sneaky tricks to save money. And I'm a victim of said sneaky tricks.
Did I mention I no longer work shifts?
Did I also neglect to mention that I no longer work in a production related capacity?
Well, let me at least mention I have been set to work shuffling boxes in the goddamn basement for 3/4 of my pay.
Monday to friday. And my back is a mess!
Also, I'm having their asses for unprofessional attitude towards me. By way of a for instance, they didn't give me two weeks notice that they were changing my work schedule. And with quite a few other items on the list that probably broke a few laws, including my own job contract, well... We'll see what happens.
So trust me, I'm well and truly envious of anybody who gets to quit their job

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
I am 1 hour away from handing in my resignation to my employers! And Fred... trust me, I think I have been in the same boat with regards to unfair treatment... needless to say I am going to enjoy this!! I will be going out with class though... but thinking of wearing a Mickey Mouse hat to work on my last day haha!

I have to hop on the band wagon and vote Job A. While Job B sounds good, given that you've conquered the ground that it seems to cover, you could end up going through the motions there. With Job A, when it comes to diversity and experience, you expand the quality of your CV.
Put it this way:
With Job B, in about 10 years you could have a 30-40k payrise
With Job A, by expanding your skill set in a more diverse environment could lead to opportunities not available in Job B, you could see yourself in 10 years with a 40-60k pay rise.
