Alright, played through Mafia 2 and, on a rating from abysmal to awesome, it was very good! The story was well written, albiet with a downer of an ending that's cut short. You run, you gun, you drive a whole bunch. Also, it has playboy magazines as collectibles. And when you find the magazines you unlock a vintage playboy centerfold. It's kind of like looking at chicks who probably would've been characters in happy days, but without their tops. So, of course this is the best collectible ever.

My only issues with the game, aside from the ending, is that there's not much to do around the open world. They spent a lot of time crafting it, but there are no side missions. You can rob clothing stores, gun stores and gas stations. You can crush and sell cars. You can blaze a path of fury, writing your wraith upon the streets in the blood of your victims. And that's about it.

The main story took me about ten hours to go through, and I rate that as above average in length for most action games. Couple that with a well written story (it even has a cool reference to Mafia 1) and the game is worth picking up.
