Extended BluRay of LOTR in my hands!
I think Tim Curry dressed as a clown regardless would scare anyone.

There is no escape from that series. Simply the best ensemble character development I've ever read. Also has some of the most interesting female characters, written by male or female authors alike. Hollywood should take ample notes in that area.Oh. And Jen? I've finished A Game of Thrones now, and am into A Clash of Kings.
...You were right.

2 days to go.
well Jen,
Just bought lord of the rings, may not be able to play the dvd disks as region 2 , not sure till I get the whole box. I really just wanted this version of the blu-rays anyway.
to buy here its $119 so I got it on line from UK for $70 as they have the same blu-ray code as us.

You know, even though i loved ep 1 of the series, i haven't watched any more as i thought the books would be much better. I should go ahead and grab that first one.
But i'm still reading Moby Dick, and then i have Stephen King's Needful Things after that. Do i dare add more to the backlog? ^^

How is the quality of it? i remember seeing one of the later DVDs at a friends house, when he had just got a 60" TV, it was like seeing a student film, dunno if there was somthing wrong with the filters or somthing. i got the same fealing when i watched Pirates of the Caribbean 1 (this was on blu-ray) i saw where all the animated parts were, at least from the first screen when the ship is sailing trough the fog.
