The last film you´ve seen and your thoughts about it
I saw 10,000 BC the other day and I must say it was a very good movie. I especially enjoyed the dialogue - not the norm for previous movies made along those lines. Back in the "hey day" of caveman style movies they would simply grunt and groan and mumble unitelligible words. This movie had the actors actually speaking languages.
Next movies on our list is Indiana Jones and Prince Caspian (I'm a big fan of Chronicles, especially the book).

You won't be Disappointed with Jones, that's for sure... I don't know much about the Chronicles, I know my wife and son both liked the first one...
I've been meaning to see 10,000 B.C. and now that you've given it praise, I'll bump it up my list a bit...

There are so many weird things in that film, it's absolutely fascinating. What are those tiny coloured orbs about, for one thing... Also, how many B-movie actors does the film actually have?
And still it manages to come out on top. Fascinating.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
That last sentence there Doc, that's the only thing you need to say to make me go see a film
I'm sold!

I am going to see that tonight... it looks good!DrPaul wrote:I saw Hancock today. It's the new Will Smith movie in which he plays a drunk, homeless, reluctant super-hero. An interesting new twist on the super-hero genre.
It also has some interesting twists in the plot. I must say, I didn't see it coming.

By the way, anybody looking forward to Public Enemies? Michael Mann's new film, about Dillinger I believe. With Johnny Depp as Dillinger and Christian Bale as Melvin Purvis, the guy who went after him.
Based on the book by the same name.

Oh yeah. Until now i only catched tiny parts of info on it ,but i mean seriously ,the combination Michael Mann / Christian Bale ( who I see as the best hollywood actor of his generation)/ Johnny Depp pretty much speaks for itself. Too bad we´ll have to wait until 2009, but it should be worth waiting for that one.Fred Buer wrote:By the way, anybody looking forward to Public Enemies? I went and saw it as well... The Plot Twist that they don't even let on about in the Previews was Excellent... I sensed it coming with the Facial Expressions and body language just before you actually see the truth, but it was still an awesome movie...
Going to be one of those Hate It or Love It kind of Movies for most people...

The wife and I just watched The Bucket List and we really enjoyed every minute of it. Course, at our age we were able to relate to much of what transpired, but it still warmed our hearts, made us laugh, made us cry. Nicholson and Freeman were absolutely superb.

I saw this today, and it was exactly as good as everyone's been saying. I'm even hearing rumors that it could be nominated for best picture. I wish it would.DrPaul wrote: As you know, WALL-E is the latest Pixar movie. So far, Pixar has never disappointed. True to form, WALL-E is quite enjoyable. To the best of my knowledge, it's the first Pixar movie that features live actors. But this is with a slight qualification, because the live actors are not 'live' characters in the movie. They always appear as recorded images on a TV screen. Anyway, Rated G. Take the whole family!
I had to applaud when WALL-E powered up.
I saw the Bucket List recently as well... I agree Jim, very good Movie...
Saw Stargate earlier today while doing some work... Good Movie, I've always liked Kurt Russell...
