Consider my membership one for life.
My only worry is this (and I apologise for being morbid): how are we to know when certain members no longer post on the board have...well, you know, passed on? Do we just infer from the long period in which they have not posted? I'd hate to think that the members just eventually fade 1 by 1 without any warning or anything like that.
Seconded! Please, don't consider me in the "deceased" list

! not yet!

Well be sure that you send your contact info to Sam... She is making a list of the members and their contact info so that if anyone is gone for TOOOOO Long we have a way of checking in on them...
The list usually consists of the basics, Email, Phone Number, and Mailing Address... The last is for those who become really out of touch... Usually just an Email works... We actually resorted to Calling DrPaul though... Emails weren't working with him... Turns out that he has become a PS3 Junkie though... lol So no bad news there...

We also sport the prettiest girls in the world. And the world's absolutely best milk chocolate. We have hot beaches in the summer, skiing in the winter, the world's fastest spring (poof! ya missed it!) and a beautiful autumn. (The term 'fall' doesn't do it justice.) Oh, and fjords, the midnight sun (which, contrary to popular belief, is still the
same sun), aurora borealis, and the Hallingkast.
This is the Hallingkast:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ollNmWvlhI
People who can do the Hallingkast are also known for being able to kick your teeth in. Literally. From across the room.
Which is why we're a friendly and easy-going people, of course. A note on norwegians - if you walk towards a norwegian, and even though you've got plenty of space, he makes a motion to avoid you? That's not because he doesn't want to be anywhere near you, it's a sign of politeness, of giving you your space. (Or he'll kick your hat across the fjord.)
Oh, and did I mention it's got me? Oh yeah, it sure does. I'm here. What a treat, right?
And while I can grok why we've got such talented winter sports people running about winning medals and such, how we fostered the new chess genius of the 21st century is beyond me. He's from goddamn Vestfold!
But mainly? We've got the prettiest girls and the tastiest milk chocolate. Do you really need any other excuses to pop by?

Glad to see you, Malloy Tex.
I'm like Sam - you had me early on Fred. I started to melt after your description. Must be truly beautiful.

If you search for Sunndalsøra on the Norway webcam page you'll see where I grew up (and my parents still live - I'll be going home for the summer tomorrow)

Have a great time with Ma & Pa, Anne. Tell them everyone in the world - or at least everyone here - says hello!
