LOL!!! What the HELL is Adrian saying from 0:14 to 0:17 on update #10? :shock: I hear something about "halfway to our goal and beyond" but cannot make head or tail of the whole sentence!
Should I blame my poor understanding of english or Adrian's accent? :P
"and we're already at day seven, and halfway to our goal and beyond" :-)

the first word is either and or hey ... he said that real quick, so it was even tough for me to pick it up. It may be the accent :-)
I'm not fat ... I'm festively plump.
Update #10: Director Adrian Carr introduces himself to Tex Murphy's Mutant League transcription:
G’day everyone. My name is Adrian Carr.
And I’d like to join with Chris and Aaron in thanking you so much for the awesome support you’ve given the Tex Murphy project on Kickstarter.
Hey, we’re already at Day 7, and half way to our goal and beyond.
And I just wanted to let you know that no pledge is too small.
And there’s millions of gamers out there who don’t know who Tex Murphy is, and if we can reach them and get them to pledge just one dollar; then you do the math.
And we can bring back Tex bigger, better than ever in Project Fedora.

Update #7: Aaron discusses story for "Project Fedora" transcription

Oh hello again. This is Aaron.
I’m going to talk to you a little bit about the story that’s going to be part of our new game.
Had a lot of questions about what direction we’re gonna go; how we’re going to handle the amount of time that’s passed, so let me give you a little bit of an overview.
We don’t want to give away too much, but if you played Overseer or listened to The Tex Murphy "Radio Theater" you’ll have a hint of what’s to come.
Before Tex goes out with Chelsee in Overseer, he tells her he’s been having nightmares, and in “Radio Theater” we hear some of the things he’s been dreaming about.
We also know he’s had memory issues which may or may not be related to some things that happened to him during his first case.
When the new story begins, Tex will soon learn that time has passed since the night that he and Chelsee were abducted.
And he has no memory of anything that happened in the interim.
As you play, you and Tex will both be trying to piece together past events, and how they are affecting Tex’s present time.
For new players this is a great opportunity to learn about who Tex is.
It won’t be necessary to have played the previous games, though it may provide deeper context and meaning for those who have.
But for new players, everything important starts from the beginning of the game.
As we’ve said, the game will have multiple story paths.
I imagine long time players will want to know what happened to Chelsee, and find out why she and Tex were abducted.
If you follow this storyline it’ll take you into new directions, and give you the answers you’ve been waiting 14 years to find out.
If you’re a new player, you may not be interested in that line of investigation in which case you may want to focus on, say, finding out why Tex wakes up outside his office with a lump on the back of his head and strange marks scratched on his arm.
Still other paths lead to even darker places, such as finding out who is responsible for all this, and getting the ultimate revenge.
So there you have it.
We’re very excited to continue the story our fans have waiting so long for.
But even if you’ve never played a Tex Murphy game we’re pretty sure you’re going to love the story, humor, adventure, puzzle solving, exploration and detective-style game play.
And be sure to play the game on at least a couple different paths.
We think you’ll enjoy the re-playability, and we’d hate to have you miss out on all our hard work.
Please help us achieve our Kickstarter goal, so we can make this all happen.
Thanks.

Update #11: New Tiers inspired by our "Crazy 888" members!

Hey everybody! Chris Jones here.
Tex Murphy was supposed to join me for this update, uh, but it looks like he hasn’t arrived yet.
It’s a little strange; he must not have received my fax.
Oh well, I’m sure there’s nothing wrong.
Look, we want to thank you guys again.
We are over 2/3rds of the way to our goal.
Thank you for helping us get the word out.
You guys have increased the awareness of the Tex Murphy Kickstarter campaign, and we really appreciate everyone working so hard to make this dream happen.
We’re also glad to see a new club has formed to revitalize Chandler Avenue. Tex Murphy’s Mutant League, the Crazy 888 Chapter.
In honor of you guys, we’ve added some additional incentive tiers.
The first is a blooper reel from the previous Tex Murphy games.
It will include never before seen footage from Under a Killing Moon, The Pandora Directive, and Overseer.
Perfect to watch while you’re listening to, uh, The Benny Hill Theme.
It’s available for $28.88 and above.
Next, is The Pandora Directive audio book as read by me, Chris Jones.
This is great for people who love books, but hate to read.
The downloadable audio book is included in the reward tiers from $88.88 and above.
Finally, six episodes of Tex Murphy Radio Theater, these are brand spankin’ new episodes, never before heard.
For those who haven’t listed to our original Radio Theater broadcast, you can check ‘em out at the Unofficial Tex Murphy website.
The new episodes of Radio Theater will be available for download to people who donate $188.88 and above.
Thanks for tuning in, and if you see Tex somewhere tell him to call me.
I’m not overly concerned, but I am starting to get a little worried.
Thanks.

Here is the Dick Bosley sports desk part from NSFV 2:

“Thank you Cam! Well it’s taken the world by storm in just under 2 years. It’s fast, it’s deadly, it’s the National Ferallette Championships! Tonight we have your pre-game match-up live from Alcatraz Island Sports and Leisure Centre, where we will see Doug Vanderbeek face off, and we might mean that literally folks, against 2 time champion Mark “The Gorilla” Hulka. Also, we will show you all the week’s highlights from both the Mutant and Norm leagues of the NFL, and in a special interview with Tom Devino, we’ll find out just what it takes to be mentally prepared for next week’s NasSpeeder race.

As always, the sports report is brought to you by Llama Cigarettes. ‘Now that we’ve beaten cancer, you can’t beat the smooth refreshment of Llamas! Filtered, unfiltered, lights or menthol, I’d walk a kilometre for a Llama!’

See you after The Voice! Back to you Cam!”

Let me know if any of the other parts are hard to get, and I will put them here too!

Cheers!

-Cub. =o)
if you can put the other parts - it will be much appreciated

Camden Houser:

Welcome back to New San Francisco voice. What attracts thousands of apparent sightings a year, has numerous books, magazines and articles published about it almost every week, and is probably still one of the most controversial topics around? That’s right, it’s UFOs. But there are some folks that don’t stop there. Aliens, conspiracy theories, and even extra-terrestrials living among us are some of the hot topics our next guest publishes every week in his magazine “The Cosmic Connection”. Joining us live from his home in Santa Angeles is Dave Grolby.

[Live side-by-side cross]

Cam: “Tell me, Dave: Aliens, are they really real?”

Dave: “Oh yes, they’re very real, Cam. In fact, they’ve been involved in almost every partof human history, as far back as the Mayans...or even earlier. In fact we’ve had their technology since the late 1940s.”

Cam: “The 1940’s? You must be referring to the famous incident at Roswell, New Mexico. According to the US Military, it was a, what? A weather balloon...?”

Dave: “Well, if you believe that in this day-in-age then you'd be a complete whacko. What, with the sudden leaps in technology? World War 3 alone would be enough evidence to show that the human kind wasn't ready for that kind of technology.”

Cam: “You claim in one of your most recent articles to have some new photographic proof of an actual UFO?

Dave: “Yes. Shortly after our former editor, Archie Ellis, went m,missing, a video showed upon my doorstep, which was shot somewhere in the Yucatan Peninsula, and, uh, clearly shows a craft of some kind, umm, and shortly after, a large explosion.”

Cam: “And you’ve brought that footage? Let’s bring it up on screen now.”

*Footage of explosion on screen*

Cam: “Dave, explain to us what’s going on here.”

Dave: “Well here you can see the craft in the sky…”

Cam: “A blurry object… yes.”

Dave: “A spacecraft… and now it’s accelerating… very rapidly here you can see. And soon… yes! A huge explosion!”

*video is finished playing*

Cam: “Obviously you don’t agree with the official statement saying that this was the result of a collision between two satellites.”

Dave: “Uh, yes...obviously.”

Cam (dismissively): “Well, we may never know. But I do know that’s all we have time for Dave, thank you...

That was Dave Grolby, editor of the Cosmic Connection. A fantastic resource if you are interested in reading more about UFOs, Aliens and other science fiction.

Now to give us a preview of what's happening in tonight's sports wrap up, here's Dick Bosley.

[sports bit, as above]

Camden Houser:

Coming up after the break: In our Forget-Me-Not segment, we’ll look back at the career of one of history’s most brilliant and misunderstood geniuses! And also Nikola Tesla. You’re watching New San Francisco Voice.”

All done!

-Cub. =o)
On another note, can somebody link me to the subtitles files that have been done so far on NSFV 1 and 2 so I can upload them to the videos?

Many thanks!

-Cub. =o)
much appreciated

Thx for the transcription, Cub :)
Here it is, italian subtitles for episode 1
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/80192572/NSFV_ep1_ita.sub

Episode 2 almoste done, too :)
If someone needs it, here's the script for the kidnapping video, with fairly decent timecodes :) There's just ONE single word I couldn't understand (marked with ????? in sentence 6) and a couple words I can hear but I'm not sure if I heard well: the "before going" in sentence 9, and "ordeal" in sentence 11. As always I'd appreciate if redcat72 or Sai or some other native speaker could complete and review the script. Thx :) The script below is in .srt format, you can just copy/paste it

1
00:00:04,900 --> 00:00:09,480
Hi folks! I'm afraid I have some pretty disturbing news

2
00:00:09,480 --> 00:00:19,730
We were waiting in the green room for Tex Murphy to arrive and film our next update, when we received a package containing this odd and terrifying VHS video

3
00:00:19,730 --> 00:00:23,380
Please be warned: some of it is disturbing

4
00:00:23,380 --> 00:00:32,430
I'm afraid that our beloved hero Tex Murphy has been kidnapped by someone dressed as a maniacal clown. He also seems to enjoy power-tools

5
00:00:32,430 --> 00:00:38,400
He has threatened to send Tex back to us... one piece at the time...

6
00:00:39,720 --> 00:00:52,140
The video arrived with this note, which looks like it's speckled with blood, but upon a further tastier investigation is revealed to be some sort of chocolate mixed with ????. Yep, milk chocolate

7
00:00:52,140 --> 00:01:02,450
The note demands that the Project Fedora KickStarter Backers a.k.a. The Tex Murphy Mutant League reach 4500 backers by June 6th, with more demands to come

8
00:01:02,450 --> 00:01:09,660
Well, Big Finish Games, we'll not negotiate with terrorists. However we will negotiate with clowns

9
00:01:09,660 --> 00:01:16,460
besides, he or she has a point: we really should raise the amount of backers ?before going? to meet our KickStarter goal

10
00:01:16,460 --> 00:01:25,170
Now, as a Private Investigator and part time dance instructor Tex has made a lot of enemies so it's going to take a while to narrow the suspects field down

11
00:01:25,170 --> 00:01:30,050
So stay tuned for more updates throughout this terrifying ?ordeal?
The word is nougat http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nougat (Often found in chocolate candy bars such as Snickers.)
Sorry, I did not get to this sooner. Looks like you did a great job.

Yes, you are right on ordeal: (A painful or horrific experience)

Ok, here's Archie's one... Like before I've marked parts I'm unsure about enclosing them between question marks. These parts are on sentences 3,12,14,15 and 16. As always corrections from native speakers are really welcome. Subs following are in .srt format, you can copy/paste...

1
00:00:04,360 --> 00:00:11,000
Greetings, people of Earth, this is paranormal expert and conspiracy theorist Archie Ellis

2
00:00:11,000 --> 00:00:17,210
Now, several years ago my sudden disappearance became one of the great unsolved mysteries of all time, but

3
00:00:17,660 --> 00:00:28,080
Rest assured that I'm alive and well on an uncharted, untraceable island in the spectral ?prism? of the Berduma Triangle

4
00:00:28,860 --> 00:00:33,870
Now, don't even try to find me, especially if you're one of those psycho government agents

5
00:00:34,940 --> 00:00:43,740
I've come out of hiding, I mean, I'm revealing myself brazenly because my sources tell me that Tex Murphy has gone missing

6
00:00:43,740 --> 00:00:47,170
It is very important, he must be found

7
00:00:48,210 --> 00:00:57,690
I've met Murph several years ago during his "pandora directive" case and we quickly became best of friends and I like to think I was kind of his "Watson", you know, to a "Sherlock"

8
00:00:57,690 --> 00:01:06,720
Well, sure it could be a little difficult like the time he put his cigarette out in my herbal tea and I wasn't even done drinking it yet but, you know, that's what friends do to each other

9
00:01:06,720 --> 00:01:18,720
Back in 45 he wanted to find out all he could about Edgar Cayce and his experiments with past life regression... Kind of wacko if you ask me, but, whatever...

10
00:01:18,980 --> 00:01:32,470
Now, Murph's biggest question though was about Nikola Tesla and the mysterious disappearance of all his papers and research which were confiscated by government agents right after he died

11
00:01:32,800 --> 00:01:41,280
Tesla's lost inventions are like a Holy Grail for conspiracy theorists so I had a lot of info for Murphy about that

12
00:01:41,500 --> 00:01:50,430
?I'm not sure? why he wanted it or why he was asking but I do know this: Tex Murphy was under something big!

13
00:01:50,430 --> 00:01:54,480
So anyone who can help out or knows where he is or can help him, DO IT!

14
00:01:54,480 --> 00:02:00,850
I just know that he's under biggest case ever ?and I?, I really wanna help him out like I did last time, you know, but...

15
00:02:01,370 --> 00:02:08,550
Well, you know, I actually, I'm really kind of busy these days and, you know I'm, writing ?and stuff? and, you know...

16
00:02:08,550 --> 00:02:16,510
and my plants, you know, they're very temperamental and I'm not quite sure how long I wanna keep'em ?all? alone, and everything, so, anyway

17
00:02:16,510 --> 00:02:22,570
Save Tex Murphy, the fate of the world depends on it. Archie Ellis, signing off!
