The last film you´ve seen and your thoughts about it
I'm not trying to say that the Movies and the Games are anything alike in story... I was just saying that in Extinction the world has all but died... In the Animation {part 4}, it isn't that way, but the Story is about Claire, so it seems to me that the Animation takes place before Extinction...

Except it doesn't reference the film series in any way, and the games themselves in every way. The G-virus was introduced in Resident Evil 2. So was Claire and Leon.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
No that's true, the only thing the same between the Animation and the movie is the Character Claire...
I was just trying to find a time line of sequence is all...
Going back to the Movies, do you think they'll make a 4th one where Alice discovers a cure and then goes after the other bigwigs hiding throughout the world???
I don't think so myself, but it would be a nice conclusion...
Also they never showed if there was really a place in Alaska that was safe... Did Claire and the kids make it up there or not???

So I just saw Coraline in 3d last weekend.
This new 3d stuff is pretty amazing.
Not like the old days of red and blue glasses.
Although, the price to see them is a little rediculous....
$13 bucks Canadian per ticket??!!
It was a weird movie. All Neil Gaiman movies are weird though.
Mirrormask and Stardust.
I'm waiting for them to make a movie of American Gods.
Now that would be cool.

Speaking of stop-motion animation films, have any of you seen the trailer for Tim Burton's new project? I am looking forward to this film immensely!
It's called simply '9'.
Here's the trailer for it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIpZxBczWUg
Looks good, no?

I'm a little late on seeing new movies so I digress a bit here and now. We've just seen Iron Man and it was terrific. Well acted, great special FX, and a good story line combined to make a realistic yet fantasaic (is that a word?) presentation that kept us on the edge of our seats.
"If you look to me for illumination, you better have a flashlight!"
Iron Man Was great.
Yea, I wanna see 9. Saw the trailer in 3d.
Now that was awesome.
Did you happen to check out the cast?
Lots of greats in there.
They even got Martin Landau and Christopher Plumber.
Crispin Glover, Jennifer Connelly, Elijah Wood and John C Reily.
Another movie that looks really amuzing is UP. That old guy
seems really funny. He reminds me of the dental consultant
at my work =P

A friend of mine saw a preliminary screening of that in its unfinished state about 5 months ago... said it was good. I envy him and what he has access to movie wise!Bafitis wrote:I saw the trailer for "Knowing" a new Nicholas Cage movie... Looks pretty good...

It's to do with his job... he handles media transfers for film and video at Fox studios, and often gets to go along to a lot of preliminary test screenings.Bafitis wrote:That sounds like a kewl job to have... You know, I really don't remember that table set up at the Job Fair in High School... lolCubase wrote:It's to do with his job... he handles media transfers for film and video at Fox studios, and often gets to go along to a lot of preliminary test screenings.
I use to consider getting into the Critic business just so I could see the movies before everyone else and get paid for it...
You'd piss everyone off... Just be hanging out, just watched Watchmen, which isn't out for another 2 weeks and you start talking about it asking their thoughts on certain scenes or something and then go "Oohhh yeah, Sorry forgot"... lol

So I finally saw City of Ember. It was quite enjoyable but a little rushed.
It's probably one of those situations where the book is better than the movie because of the allowance of more detail.
It was still good for what it was. It reminded me really losely of Bioshock and Fallout all rolled into one. This movie is great if you have kids, and Bill Murray was classic.
Him and Tim Robbins were the stars of the movie.
Also saw Mirrors.
This was a great movie. It was really gory too. Course... I watched the unrated version so that might have something to do with it.
Kiefer Sutherland was great. Ending was cool. It finished the movie off real well.
I remember when Kiefer was young in The Lost Boys and Flatliners..... Time goes by fast.

Read Watchmen for the 1st time in 1989. My son was just a baby. I was a huge fan of Watchmen, V for Vendetta, the Killing Joke, Dark knight returns, Akira etc. Moore and Miller were two favorites. Late 1980's early 90's was comic book (excuse, graphic novel) GOLD!!
I've been spun up waiting for this movie for ages. Got my midnight show ticket.
I wanted to keep everything fresh, so I reread it again. I sprang last year for the jumbo sized Absolute Watchmen, love it!
So yep, when I went to by the score today at FYE, the counter-kid said he was excited to get to see it. I couldn't bear to tell him that I read it before he was born.
It's cool though. Works like Lord of the Rings and Watchmen weren't filmable till high quality CGI. Opens the stories up for a whole new generation.
