I fell asleep 3 separate times watching this...
I don't know who Mark Bellison is, but would a person who really enjoyed British comedy enjoy this film?

I'm thinking Not... I've enjoyed British comedies before... Normally if I don't agree with the Comedy I'll say it was Bad... But that movie was just plain Boring...

Have you seen Night At The Museum??? Mark Bellison is the guy in charge of the Museum...

Waiting on Movies from Netflix right now... Due to the holiday everything is running slow... I'd most likely go to the Drive-In this coming weekend, but I'm going White Water Rafting instead...

A-Team was a lot of fun, I can imagine anyone would like it whether or not they'd seen the show.

The likenesses were done extremely well.

The only down-side was I didn't like the new "Col. Decker" a.k.a. the character who always chased around the A-Team. They should've made her a Major or Lt. Col.

A few cameos were nice...

They managed something very special - they stayed true to the images of the original characters, but still managed to bring them into the 2010 mindset of the audience.

For instance, "Alpha, Mike Foxtrot!"

While this phrase was actually used during the Vietnam war (from what I've read), it most definitely was not used in the original series

It's the first decent action-comedy flick in a long, long time.

We started watching The Fouth Kind last night and about half way through we shut it off. Too wierd. More there than meets the eye, me thinks. Personally, I do not believe in alien abductions nor do I think there was some kind of massive conspiracy in Nome; we just thought there might be a different explanation, one many people might find ridiculous. Ergo, we keep our thoughts to ourselves.

Still, if you are into wierd, like The Blair Witch Project, exorcisms or alien abductions, then this might be the movie for you.

I've seen The Fourth Kind... Not sure I believe in Alien Abductions either, but you have to admit something happen up there in Nome... Something no one wants to talk about or admit to...

I found the movie to be interesting... But I'm a sucker for those Documentary type films...

How would you classify what you saw, Baf?

BTW, we thought the real Dr. Tyler was a bit spaced out, if you know what I mean. She even looked strange.

I don't know... The end when her Daughter goes missing is extremely puzzling... I mean the movie swears that the events are just as described by the people who lived through them and when that officer says into the radio that the girl is just being lifted up through the roof and straight up in a bright light...

Just makes you wonder what might have been in the water up there...

Having not witnesses Aliens myself, I'm inclined to disbelieve Alien Abduction... Now that doesn't mean I don't believe in Aliens... I think you'd be rather Narrow Minded to think that this tiny little planet is the only one in all of existence to have Life... But for them to come here and take people and leave no visible trace behind except for the ramblings of the few that swear to have been taken, that's a little far fetched for me... But I don't discount it entirely...

To me, this thing about aliens coming here to our planet, kidnapping people, molesting and slaughtering whole herds of cattle, writing their obscene graffiti in our cornfields, and ramming probing objects up the rectums of respectable hillbillies on a basis as regular as JTOG's bowels suggests one of two things to me:

1) Either we have the greatest collection of crops, cows and cornholes in the cosmos, OR:

2) There is no intelligent life in the universe.

I sometimes get the feeling our planet is the blind retarded kid in a class full of devious bullies. Our general call to the rest of the galaxy might as well be simplified down to "MARCO!!"

And the rest of those bastards are all outta the pool.

At least, that's my theory!

Three cheers and six beers for Fred!!! Anyone seen my Geritol?

This may be a bit more than you want to hear - read - but my bowels are quite regular. Course, I NEVER go near corn fields.

We watched The Time Traveler's Wife and I must say this was quite a movie. It was entertaining, emotional, well-acted and had more twists and turns than the Pike's Peak road. In fact, the very NATURE of the movie was rather mind boggling. Still, we enjoyed it and recommend it. Beware! This is NOT along the same lines of Iron Man or some other action/adventure movie!

Predators

On a rating from abysmal to awesome, this movie was pretty good!

So you've managed to stick around for all the previews. Some looked good, some were awful. You got told to turn off your cell phone and not to make loud noises. You've got your soda. You've got your popcorn. The title logo is coming on! Finally! You sit back, relax and-

BOOM!!

You ain't got time to relax in this! Not even seconds into the movie there's already a guy falling out of the sky, hurtling towards the ground and an alarming speed! He looks for a parachute and there's nothing there! He's falling and the grounds comin' up faster and faster and-

KABLAM! Title screen, bitches!

That's the kind of movie that Predators is. It doesn't want to spend it's time building up a plot. Telling a remarkable story. It wants to get into the thick of it as fast as possible, even if Adrian Brody has to spend ten minutes or so filling in the exposition. The Predator, in it's concept, has always been about the idea of the hunt.

In the first film the best of the best go into the jungle, hunting the villainous...evil...somewhat naughty...oh, I forget. They went down to South America for a reason, and it involved killing a whole bunch of people! Then, they discover the tables are turned on them. Can they restore the tables to their original position? Only Arnold could get to the choppah.

In the second film Danny Glover was involved. This time the Predator was establishing a hunting ground amongst the unsuspecting citizens of New York, who felt they only had to fear each other. But in reality, they also had to fear Danny Glover. Cause Danny Glover killed that Predator ass so hard his light echoes died.

And then there were the Alien Versus Predator films. The issue with these two, other than the fact that they sucked, was that the Predator didn't hunt. He stalked in a badass manner. He shot laser guns. He engaged in fist fights. He played charades. But he didn't hunt.

Predators brings the predator back to the hunting ground, complete with the tactics required to trap the prey. In this case, a bunch of cardboard cutout representations of different factions throughout the world. There's a Yakuza henchman, a Mexican cartel guy, a Merc, a Special Ops chick, a prisoner, a Russian, a guy in Africa who was part of some military that I forget, and a doctor.

On one hand, I could say that the character buildup is poor, and the characters themselves have less depth than a pond.

On the other hand, this is the kind of movie where an alien creature rips out a mans spine and skull with one tug. Also, the most memorable dialogue:

"When I go back home, I'll do so much cocaine! And rape fine ass bitches, doesn't matter what time it is. 5pm? Time to rape some fine ass bitches."
