The other 3 are just as good as Dial M for Murder, Sam. The original Postman was a terrific movie and I am enraptured by Bogart in the Falcon and The Big Sleep. BTW, where did you get this 4 pack?

Jim,
I found the pack at Amazon for around $12.

http://www.amazon.com/TCM-Greatest-Clas ... =pd_cp_d_1

It's called "TCM Greatest Classic Films Collection: Murder Mysteries". They've got other movie collection packs as well. I also just got The 39 Steps by itself.

TCM Greatest Classic Film Collection: Gangsters - Prohibition Era
TCM Greatest Classic Films Collection: Best Picture Winners
TCM Greatest Classic Films Collection: Science Fiction
TCM Greatest Classic Films Collection: Hitchcock Thrillers

and so on...

Jim,
Just finished watching the Postman Always Rings Twice. That was not at all what I was expecting. After they succeeded in the murder I didn't expect that outcome in court and the final ending was surprising. I could tell the love affair wasn't going to end well, but I had no idea.

First, thanks for the Amazon tip.

Second, that movie was given 4 stars and it earned each of them with a great cast, great story and great acting. I assume from your review you enjoyed the movie?

Yeah I enjoyed it. Only thing was the whole time I was looking for the postman that never came. Haha. It's been a long time since I wasn't able to guess the ending of a movie. Today's movies are quite predictable.

All and all I think I liked the drama of Dial M for Murder more. I was rooting for Grace Kelly but could not root for things to go well for Lana Turner. She just seemed too selfish for me. Next up Humphrey Bogart movies. Will report back later.

Went to a Free screening of Vampires Suck... And let me tell you, Vampires Suck, Sucks... It is suppose to be a Spoof of the Twilight series, but there is very little funny about this movie... It had a hand full of decent laughs and that's about it... I was really expecting to be laughing from almost beginning to end... But it is almost as depressing as Twilight itself...

Don't waste your time with one people...

Just finished re-watching The Fully Monty. It's just still as funny as the first time I saw it. It's a great laugh if you feel like something silly.

Watched - again - The Big Sleep with Bogie and Bacall. What a great movie. They showed it on TCM and I was able to record it in HD on my Comcast DVR.

I also recorded and watched The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly on TCM in HD. One of the best westerns ever made.

I'm Back =)

Saw Rambo 4.
Man this film was violent but good

Saw Legion... this was ok.
Didn't like the ending though

Saw I am Legend.
This was a lonely film, if you know what I mean.

Saw Eclipse....
Went so she would go see Inception with me.
Thought it was going to be alright..... but there was barely any action.
Still too mushy.

Saw Lord of the Rings in the labor room with my wife =P.
and The Matrix Series again.... both classics.

Saw Inception.
What an amazing film. This was just all around fun!!!

Saw the Perfect Storm again.
Sad film.

Yes, I AM LEGEND is a lonely - and sometimes quite sad - film, but it was still very entertaining. BTW, have anyone seen the alternative ending?

Watched "Close Encounters Of The Third Kind" earlier... It was almost like watching a new movie, first off it was in High Def, which was amazing, 2nd it had so many scenes that aren't on the VHS or DVD that I have... Until a couple of hours ago, I had NO IDEA that Carl Weathers had a spot in that film... He plays an MP who threatens Richard Dreyfuss, pretty good scene kind of funny too, I wish they hadn't cut it from the original, but it was a pleasure to see all the same...
The details of the aliens and other special effects were just awesome, especially considering this film was made the year I was born... lol

Going to a Dusk Till Dawn feature at the Drive-In on Sunday, going to be seeing, The Other Guys, Salt, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and The Expendables... Should be a pretty good night for movies tomorrow... The person I'm going with is kind of disappointed that there aren't any Chick Flicks... I told her that Scott Pilgrim was kind of a love story, but I don't think that helped any...

I saw Robert Rodriquez's latest film, Machete.

For those of you who saw Rodriguez and Tarentino's Grindhouse a few years back, you may remember Machete as one of the fake previews between the double-feature. As long as you view it in the spirit in which it was given, Machete was absolutely fantastic. Both Grindhouse movies pale by comparison.

It had everything a good B-movie should have. Really bad, bad guys, a really tough good guy, very strong female characters - who also happen to be be very sexy and carry big guns. What more could a guy ask for?

Well, how about two sequels? Machete Kills and Machete Kills Again. Coming Soon!

The Doc hasn't posted in a long time and wants us to see a movie called Machete? Only the Doc could get away with this. Good to see you again, old friend!

Starting to make me wonder what his real specialty is???

Admit it DrPaul, you're that guy those stories were about in the 90s about the Doctor using a young woman to lure men to a hotel room where they drugged him and then removed his kidneys, aren't you???
