The last film you´ve seen and your thoughts about it

Saw the Expendables.

The plot was not that great, but this was an entertaining movie nonetheless.

Tons action, explosions, fights, body parts flying.

This is a man's man movie.

Check this movie out if you want memories of your favorite actions movies of the 80s.
Matt
Fred you've been holding out on us... You didn't tell us that they made a movie of your teenage years... My son said it was very entertaining...

Watched Clash of the Titans again, just as good as it was at the theater... Splendid movie... Really can't wait to get my 3-D TV... Gonna wait until Spring though for them to hopefully make sure the bugs are worked out and hopefully for them to release more movies on Bluray in 3-D...

Watched Date Night... Decent movie... I'm not a huge Steve Carell fan, but I do like Tina Fey and she really made Carell look good... The scene with Wahlberg was hilarious...
The Paved Straight Road, Won't Always Get You Farther Than The Winding Dirt Road...

Saw Slumdog Millionaire finally.

This was a pretty good movie.
It just isn't my type of movie. It was not bad, and the ending was really good.

I would still recommend this to most people.

The poop part was priceless though.

Iron Man 2... Finally got this from Netflix... I saw this at the movies as well, but what can I say, it's a very good Action movie... I'm not a Downy fan, but the Iron Man movies have been good...

Saw Inception again as well... What can I say, it's still a spectacular movie... And for anyone who has seen it once, you really have to seen it a 2nd time... And those who haven't seen the movie, GO SEE IT!!!

Was going to see The Town this weekend, but other things came up, hoping that it will still be at the Drive-In next weekend...

Saw Deja Vu.

This was actually a pretty good movie.

I really like Time Travel Movies, though.

Great acting all around by everyone in the movie.

I recommend this to anyone that likes sci-fi and action.
Matt
Deja Vu is a really good movie and I, too, highly recommend it.

Anyone seen Fermat's Room? This, to me, is a very intelligently written and well acted movie. The suspense builds nicely and there are several fascinating twists and turns.
"If you look to me for illumination, you better have a flashlight!"
Hey Jim, the only thing I'm getting on Netflix says that Fermat's Room is in Spanish... Is there an English version or did you read the whole movie??? I did that once, the text was in yellow and everything for 2-3 days had a yellowish color to it...

Oh oh! I saw that one on TV. That was a very interesting movie. So weird and messed up. Definitely worth seeing. A murdering mathematician. So cool.

I think I watched it with subtitles.

My apologies, Baf, I forgot to mention the subtitles (thanks, Sam). You have to be quick to catch some of them but it is well worth the effort.

Recently saw Machete. Fantastic nod to the grindhouse era. Nobody really makes films like that anymore.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
Okay Jim, I will give it a try... Please tell me the Subtitles aren't in Yellow though...

I agree Fred, they are very few and far in between nowadays... Kind of like good Adventure Games...

If anybody is bored and looking for a different kinda movie, I'd like to recommend "But I'm a Cheerleader". I personally found it quirky and unusual. Read the info at IMDB. It's a comedy with serious commentary about life.

RED was awesome and I highly recommend it... Bruce delivers a wonderful performance as does Malkovich and Freeman, along with the rest of the cast... Retired, Extremely Dangerous, RED...

The Town, that was a great movie too, especially if you are a "Cheer for the Bad Guys" type of person... It's basically about Bank Robbers... I'm not much of an Afflict fan and his Irish accent sucks, but it was still a great performance...

Also saw Get Low... This is about a man who locked himself away, became a Hermit, and after 40+ years of carrying some secret he wants to know what people think of him, so he throws a Funeral Party, His Funeral Party and he wants everyone to come and anyone and everyone to tell a story about him that they've heard over the years...

This isn't something I'll watch multiple times, in fact I'm not sure if I'll watch it again for some years... But it is a good film, just not one of those types you can re-watch very often... Duvall hasn't lost his even though he is 80 years old...

Also watched The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time... Very good action movie... Jake Gyllenhaal has come a long way since Bubble Boy... I think he'll be part of the next generation of big name actors along with Shia LaBeouf... Persia is about a mysterious dagger that has the ability to take the possessor back in time when the jewel on the handle has been pressed... But if it falls into the wrong hands and they use it to stab the glass where the sand is kept it could destroy the world... Very Good Movie...

Watched The Bounty Hunter over the last couple of days as well... I saw these a few months back, it's a good for a few laughs... I think it could have been better, but a decent movie nonetheless...

I think the subtitles to Fermat's Room were white, but I am curious: something wrong with yellow?
"If you look to me for illumination, you better have a flashlight!"
I watched a Salma Hayek movie that was in all subtitles, can't remember the name of it, but the subtitles were in yellow and for 3-4 days after watching/reading that movie everything had a yellowish tinge to it... So I would prefer to not have to read a Yellow movie again... lol
