Just commenced my first feature film!

Hey All!
Sorry I have not been the busy little poster I usually am these past few weeks, but there is good reason for that. I have just started pre-production of my first feature-length film! The film is called 'The Connection' and it will be a 90-minute feature set in Sydney, and shot in High Definition (but no 3D haha).
But there is something very unique about this film: I am making it backwards! Basically I have designed the poster, worked out the characters, and have just commenced composing the musical score for the film... the next step which will be underway in a few weeks is writing the screenplay to the story. I pretty much know exactly what's going to happen in the film from start to finish, scene by scene but I am holding off on writing the screenplay until I have finished writing the music. Once that is done I will be making the trailer before shooting any of the film.
Why do it this way you ask? Because it just seems right. I have always been heavily influenced in my projects by music, imagery and all the bits and pieces that make up a great idea... so I am starting with the bits and pieces and working my way into a film from that. I figure this way, just like the brilliant artistry you see in music videos that the marriage of image and sound will compliment the vision in a way that could not have been expressed any other way.
In keeping with the mystique that surrounds the film, and the fact that I would LOVE for everyone to come to their own conclusions about the film during its story I am not giving any of the story away until we are pretty much ready to shoot it... this way everyone is free to use their imagination about the film whilst following its development... I call it passive interactive movie making. You will feel part closer to the film this way, and I think it's a great way of getting some real public momentum behind the project.
I am keeping a blog of all the films developments here if you are interested:

Cheers! And if you have any questions about the film feel free to ask away!
