Literally! Our area was dumped on last night and we awoke to 9 inches of snow (that's like 12 quaddrillion millimeters for you other folks). If that's not bad enough we also had some high winds and some of the drifts - like the ones in my driveway - are two feet deep! (That's like a million times 12 quaddrillion millimeters for you other folks.)

Now for the good news.....no work today! I can stay at home and catch up on my posting here and playing games there.

And all we got is nice 70 degree weather down here in the south, darn.

We got hit with the same storm.

We got more than you I think.

My initial caluclations have that at 12 quintillion meters or 12 quadrillion kilometers, a length I can't even begin to imagine.

Nine inches..? You WIMPS! We have nine FEET!

The doors would be jammed shut.

Do you have exits on your roof?

There's a roof over every doorway. Beyond that we have excellent plow services, and we shovel snow on an olympic level.

I am 64 years old and I do not like shoveling one inch of snow let alone 9 inches and I would certainly not enjoy shoveling 9 feet of snow. But, I do feel a little bad for the people of Norway, especially the senior citizens. Oh, and you too, Fredo!

No worries Jim. We've adapted to the climate over the years. Though I'm having a hard time understanding our forefathers who settled here.

On the upside, we have no volcanoes, no earthquakes, no tornadoes, no monsoons, no tsunamis, no killer insects or spiders, no dangerous carnivores except maybe the five bears that still live up a mountain and the one pack of wolves in the zoo. We have mosquitos and wasps and some harmless snakes and a badger nobody's seen in fifteen years. The most common woodland creatures to be wary of is the elk and the drunken hunter who wants elk-meat. I don't think that's enough to complain, so I won't.

Haha in Porsgrunn thers snow but where i am thers none.. 2 out of 12 months with snow. 8 out of 10 monts thers rain and 2 months out of it all its breath taking come live at the west coast fred and leave your plow behind

You don't happen to live in Bergen, do you?
