Well, it's out. And reviewers are going crazy. So, yeah, it's gonna be one of those games. Thankfully.

Looking forward to it! Give now!!

Rants, raves, comments, questions and answers - GO!

(ps - the original norwegian voicecaster for the main character is hotter than the pixel-pixie she portrays. Just a lil' sidenote for ya there!)

I am looking forward to The Longest Journey: Dreamfall sequel to 2000 TLJ!!! :D

I heard Dreamfall won't arrive in U.S till Summer of July 06, wasn't it?

Dreamfall has been released in the US (can be a bit hard to find I've heared though, but it's there). It will be released in Sweden in a week. I can't wait. I'm a sucker for good stories, and according to several reviewers Dreamfall has the best story in a game in years.

So, this is a sequel to TLJ? If that's the case, what are your thoughts regarding TLJ?

It's a sequel to TLJ yes. Havn't played it yet (still waiting for my pre-order to ship, in a week), but it's clear it's quite a different game. This was the purpose all along. Ragnar wanted to make a "new" game, rather than a sequel with the same kind of gameplay.

I like The Longest Journey, even though I might not be in love with it like MANY others are. The best thing about it in my opinion is that both the worlds and the characters are really fleshed out. They come alive in a way few games manage to accomplish. I usually don't go for fantasy stuff, but TLJ I got sucked right into. A big reason for this is the excellent and plentiful dialogue. One (in)famous conversation is 10-15 minutes long.

The rest is your usual point and click fare. Some puzzles are good, others just annoying.

I liked the first one--I would have loved it, but I had to return it 4 times before I got a set where ALL the CD's worked.

I'm getting Dreamfall when things calm down a bit more for me--probably in a few weeks when I can dedicate long hours to it. I'm excited.
