May he rest in peace.
Killing Hussein is not a good thing. It is a mistake and will stand for all the wrong reasons for a very long time. Even in death, Hussein has out-foxed his enemies
The following is an example of the affects of this killing of HS will have,

Nothing will change in Iraq. Why? That country, like so many in the Middle East, is prone to political upheaval and religious intolerance. No, I am NOT standing on a soap box after years of refraining from commenting on world events. I'm merely stating a fact - an obvious fact at that. In 60 years I've seen only one standard for that part of the world - it only gets worse. It's a sign of our times.

It's a sign of our times.
Could be a sign of the End of Times.
Hope not.

THE END IS NIGH!! The apocalypse is upon us!! Sulphur and fire and death and taxes and the return of Betamax and reruns of 'Nanny' and the rise of the Evil One and the seas will rise up and cover the skies and crash down upon humanity with waves after waves of endless...
Nah, just kidding. Four Horsemen are still in the stable, lion refuses to lie down with the lamb for fear of sexual harrasment charges, and the End is still a few years off
Let the world turn, it'll take care of itself. Take care of the people next to you instead, at least that's something you CAN do.
And a happy Aught Seven to you all.

I see the Kaiser forgot his hat last time he visited this forum
All life is precious no matter how evil it was. Taking his life was wrong, we should have let him die a frail old man rather as a defiant former dictator. Now his insane ramblings will be remembered forever

So uh, how about the Colts winning the other day? Yeah, that's neither political nor divisive. Unless you're a Miami Dolphins fan...

Two words. F the Colts. Okay that's three words. But still, F em. They squashed any hope of a playoff run cincinnati. Ugh. I hate football again this year.

I'm having a little difficulty analyzing the compatiblity of Saddam dead and the Indianapolis Colts. I know there's a connection, but what is it?

by Andy
No connection I can think of. It was the first thing that came to mind to try and sway conversation away from getting heated over a clearly complicated issue. Maybe I should have let it be.

I'm with Bill Hicks on this issue. Which, kinda also puts me with, say... Frank Castle?

I agree, Andy. Your efforts are noble and notable. Actually, I was trying to create a little levity myself by asking such a dumb question. Maybe this thread should end now before it begins to boil.
